2007 was the fourth complete year of the Wilderness Guardians in RuneScape 2.
Summary
The majority of 2007 was spent attempting to recover WG after D-Day. The clan was divided into three different sectors for PvP, skilling, and community. His Lordship produced various media for the clan, including a Recruitment Video and a popular animated RuneScape movie. WG also formed alliances with 3v0luti0n_X and The British Elites. Despite their overall regrowth, WG and the rest of the clan world suffered a devastating loss on 10 December 2007, when Wilderness PvP and free trade were removed from RuneScape.
Major Events
- April 2 - WG elected four new Council members: Bassism, Tnuac, Valdremia, and Tmal34.[1]
- April 22 - WG members were granted permission to 1-item fight NH clans, including their rival Reign of Terror.[1]
- April 24 - WG revoked the requirement of "mandatory event attendance" for its members.[1]
- May 17 - The Wilderness Guardians (2007 Animation): His Lordship released his third and most popular Flash Animation for WG, which has gained over 80,000 views.
- May 29 - Sectors: WG was divided into three distinct groups based on individual members' preferences for RuneScape events and interests.
- July 8 - Recruitment video: WG released an innovative video about the clan to aid with recruitment, with His Lordship presenting it in person.
- July 18 - WG elected 3 new Council members: Dorcha3377, Mangomaniac2, and Renoldojr10.[1]
- July 22 - 3v0luti0n_X: WG formed an alliance with 3v0.
- August 21 - The British Elites: WG formed an alliance with TBE.
- September 1 - WG's requirements were decreased for the first time (down from level 107+ combat in June) to avoid elitism and make the clan more available to players.[1]
- December 1 - Fidelity: Draken Burst closed Fidelity, an exodus of WG, after around 8 months of their existence.
- December 10 - PvP in the Wilderness and free trade were removed from RuneScape by Jagex, and His Lordship organised a "Save The Wilderness Rally" in Falador, world 66.[2]
