2012 was the 9th complete year of the Wilderness Guardians, and the year in which RuneScape 3 replaced RuneScape 2 as the flagship game of Jagex.
Summary
Despite the return of pre-2007-style PvP and DG's success, WG struggled with the prevalence of NH in the 2012 Wilderness. The clan instead turned towards CWA, entering the 2012 Jagex Cup and doing moderately well. In August of 2012, the WG and DG staff decided to combine their leadership between both clans. His Lordship and Vio also made an attempt at alerting Jagex to the state of the PvP and clan community with a popular and well-received documentary on the Wilderness. Despite their efforts, the clan world suffered yet another hard hit with the Evolution of Combat in November.
Major Events
- January 7 - WG formed an alliance with BlacKnights.[1]
