2006 was the third complete year of the Wilderness Guardians in RuneScape 2.
Summary
2006 was the most successful year in RuneScape 2 for WG in terms of their overall PvP strength. A war with the Black Dragons put WG in the top 5 of P2P clans by January, and PK trips led by Kenshln (known as "KF Raids") were largely successful. WG also released their famous Flash Website. Despite continued success and more large-scale wars such as X vs DS, His Lordship chose to step down from leadership midway through the year. Though the replacement leaders Tmal34 and Twizzlers300 continued to push WG into competing with the likes of Reign of Terror as a top P2P clan ("powerhouse"), this resulted in a power struggle which cause His Lordship to return and temporarily close the clan for a few hours on 1 December. Over 100 members would leave within the follwing days, ending WG's era as a top clan.</ref>
